The Dept. of Physics, started functioning in 1982 with Prof. George Varghese as the Head of the Department. Since inception the department has been credited for providing quality education in the field of Physical sciences. As of now, the department trains 32 students at the undergraduate level each year. After 23 long years of consistent performance the Department was upgraded to PG Department in the year 2005 with an intake of 10 students every year for MSc course.
